The name Birdies in a Tree comes from something very personal to me — my three children.

When the crochet bug bit, my oldest said he would like a bird. When I saw the delight on his face, I looked for all kinds of birds to make. Somewhere along the way, those little birds stopped feeling like just another project. They reminded me of my own three children — each different, each completely themselves, and each such an important part of who I am.

That idea stayed with me.

The three birds became a symbol of family, love, and the joy I have always found in creating things for the people I care about. When it came time to give this little business a name, Birdies in a Tree simply felt right.

Today, those three birds are still at the heart of everything I make. They remind me that the most meaningful things are rarely just things. They carry a person, a memory, a story, or a little piece of someone we love.

That is what I hope to create here — something made by hand that feels personal enough to become part of your own story.
