Hi, I’m Tracy
I’ve always loved making things. For me, creating has never really been about following a pattern exactly or making something just because I could. It has always been about the person on the other end of it.
When my children were growing up, I loved creating things for them — birthday themes, cakes, decorations, little details that made the day feel like theirs. I think that’s where a lot of this really began. I loved taking something simple and making it personal.
Over time, crochet became another way for me to do that. I loved the process, but even more than that, I loved seeing an idea turn into something someone could hold, keep, give, or remember.
One little crocheted bird eventually led to another, and then another. Those three birds came to represent my three children and eventually became part of the story behind Birdies in a Tree.
Today, I still create the same way. I want to know who something is for, what they love, what makes them smile, and what would make the piece feel like it truly belongs to them.
I don’t want to make things that simply fill a shelf. I want to make things that feel thoughtful, personal, and made with care.
And if you have an idea that isn’t completely figured out yet, that’s perfectly okay. Sometimes the best part is talking it through together and discovering what it should become.
